Before proceeding to your consult, please accept the following conditions for use of MYA’s eConsultation service and MYA Consultations:

MYA eConsult Conditions

To use MYA's eConsult software you are required to have an active Internet connection. MYA recommend a good WiFi connection (at least 2Mb/s) or 4G, however MYA cannot guarantee a connection can be made or maintained at any time.

MYA will not be liable for any connection or data costs that may be incurred whilst using MYA’s eConsult software.

MYA may choose to record or monitor consultation/s for staff training and/or maintaining quality of service. Written notes will be made of the matters discussed in the consultation/s as part of a patient’s care. These notes will form part of the medical record and the recordings will be destroyed after one month. In some cases, MYA may deem it appropriate to retain the recording as part of the medical record and it will be treated in the same way as any other medical record.

You are the person for whom the eConsult has been set up and are not presenting yourself as someone else or acting as an agent of somebody else.

You agree to protect the privacy of all users using MYA’s eConsult software (patients, MYA employees, and healthcare professionals) and not to make independent recordings of eConsults, capture images, screenshots or similar.

On desktop or laptop, MYA's eConsult software currently supports Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge but does not support Internet Explorer.

ECONSULTATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Your eConsultation is a free consultation and comprises unique interactive video content followed by a video meeting with one of our representatives who will be able to answer your questions and arrange for you to meet with a surgeon if appropriate. There will be a booking fee to meet a surgeon.

SURGEON CONSULTATION AND CONSULTATION CANCELLATION RIGHTS

Meeting a surgeon is one of the most important steps to surgery. All MYA surgeons are GMC registered and highly experienced. This procedure is a cosmetic procedure and so assessment of the results involves an element of subjectivity. Therefore, I understand that while I will be advised by my surgeon as to the probable results, this should in no way be interpreted as a guarantee.

In order to confirm an appointment to meet a surgeon there is a booking fee and this will be explained at the end of your free consultation.

Should you need to cancel the surgeon consultation within 14 days, you will find a cancellation form in your Patient Portal which explains your rights and how to cancel.

IMPORTANT NOTE: MEETING A SURGEON WITHIN THE CANCELLATION PERIOD

Typically, a surgeon consultation will be after 14 days but, for example, if you have some operation dates in mind it may be necessary for you to meet a surgeon within 14 days as sufficient time after meeting the surgeon is required to make all surgery arrangements.

During the 14-day cancellation period, MYA Clinics Ltd is not permitted to start work for you unless you expressly request this. This will be by you instructing MYA Clinics Ltd to book you a surgeon appointment date within 14 days. This could happen where you have an operation date in mind and to meet the right surgeon at the right time. Checking this box gives us the required authority, if necessary, to arrange for you to meet a surgeon within 14 days.
